If you just started a site, chances are you’re a hopeful young lad/lass that has forums. Well, good luck. Unless you can really put some dedication into your site and your forums, I don’t think that they are ready to open right when your site does.

Pros:
Forums are a great way to get visitors to come back. If there’s a good environment in the forum, good people, chances are that people will come back to discuss things.
Tech Support: Instead of managing a bunch of emails, everything can be run through a forum. Quick and easy.
Cons:
Forums that are empty can actually drive away visitors. No one wants an empty forum with no activity, we want discussion!
Recommendation:
Wait till your site gets a lot of traffic before deciding to start a forum. Much traffic = much potential members. Ignore the grammar mistakes, it gets the point across.
